Clinical RN Specialist Patient Care – Part-time, Days

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Stephenville, 411 North Belknap St., Stephenville, TX 76401

  • Work environment: This position will focus on nursing quality outcomes, processes, and quality improvement hospital wide

  • Work hours: Part-time, Days, 24 hours weekly, hours are variable

  • Salary range: $40.89 - $56.64 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville is a full-service, 98-bed hospital serving Erath and surrounding counties since 1926. The hospital offers surgical services, women’s and infants’ services, advanced diagnostic imaging, sleep lab and a wound care program. Texas Health Stephenville has received accreditation as a Level IV trauma center, Cycle III Chest Pain Center by Society of Chest Pain Centers and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The hospital was named a Baby-Friendly Hospital by the World Health Organization and received Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (required)

  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire

  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire

  • Other - CNL or other professional nursing certifications within 12 months required

  • SSLP – Six Sigma Lean Professional upon hire preferred

  • 2-years direct patient care experience required

  • 5-years current hospital experience required

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

  • demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Position Responsibilities

• Clinical Care/Patient Advocate

• Collaborates with physicians and/or APRN for services needed as well as all with other allied health care providers

• Collaborates with care transitions team to facilitate discharges, RCB measures, review of excess days and patient throughput

• Facilitates the development, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of processes that impact patient outcomes

• Participates in shared decision making by participating in councils as requested by nursing leadership
