Texas Health Resources Manager Facilities and Environment of Care-Texas Health Stephenville in Stephenville, Texas

Texas Health Stephenville seeks to hire a Manager Facilities and Environment of Care. The manager will be responsible for the performance of the Plant Operations / Engineering staff responsibilities on a given hospital campus, including, but not limited to, efficiency of day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, energy management, financial management, staff efficiency and productivity, and quality of services delivered. This position oversees the part time and contract Security personnel.

Location: Stephenville, TX

Core Hours

• Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Duties

DEPARTMENTAL OPERATIONS - Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to ensure effective day-to-day departmental operations, responsible for managing all engineering and maintenance workload through the CMMS, maintain adequate documentation of activities, implement construction project and contractor coordination, manage vendors, participate in strategic planning as requested.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT SAFETY MANAGER - Overall responsibility for planning, implementation and management of regulatory compliance with Environment of Care Program Management. Plan and organize the broad range of activities, processes, and procedures required to meet the regulatory requirements of the hospital. Performs all duties/responsibilities of the Safety Officer and acts upon any conditions, which pose an immediate threat to life or health, or pose a threat of damage to equipment or buildings. Assures, coordinates, and participates in the implementation of the environment of care management plans: safety, security, hazardous materials and waste, decontamination and emergency preparedness, life safety, medical equipment, and utility systems. Interfaces with Safety Department to assure that all Life Safety Code and Joint Commission standards are followed, develops safety programs to include employees, patients, and visitors, maintains eSOC, participates in rounding as requested, participates in EOC committee as requested, maintains safety and regulatory related documentation.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - Maintains accountability, authority, and responsibility for development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of operation and capital budget.

HUMAN RESOURCES/STAFF MANAGEMENT - Manages supervisory staff, number of FTEs, evaluates staffing and qualification requirements, schedules employee hours, monitors attendance and timekeeping, promotes professional growth.

SATISFACTION/CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT - Ensures process for measuring, assessing, and improving patient outcomes and patient satisfaction, documents internal satisfaction, develops continuous improvement programs, collaborates with customer groups for improved performance.

SAFETY OFFICER / REGULATORY / CODE COMPLIANCE

Functions as the Entity Safety Officer to assure that all Life Safety Code and Joint Commission standards are followed, develop a safety program to include employee, staff, patients, and visitors, maintain eSOC, participate in rounding as requested, participate in EOC committee as requested, maintain safety and regulatory related documentation. Responsible for the oversight of contract security personnel.

Education

H.S. Diploma or equivalent required

Associate's Degree related field preferred

Experience

5 years facilities experience with emphasis on healthcare required.

2 years Supervisory or leadership role required.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Class C Drivers License required upon hire

Facility management licensure/certification preferred upon hire

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 60 days after hire

Skills

Organizational skills, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational background. Team player, articulate, able to relate to people at all levels. Good educator willing to share information and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Practices. Strong Knowledge of Industry Regulations and Standards - ASHE, TJC, OSHA, TDSHS, ASHRAE, HIPPA.
